Using a soft cloth measuring tape, place it over the large bony area at the back of your head, above your ears, and at the level on your forehead where you want the hat to rest. Use the chart below for reference. We will ask you for the exact measurement before we ship a hat to you. We do honor exchanges, but getting it right the first time saves YOU the extra shipping cost for sending you a second hat.  Thanks.

If your hat needs some re-shaping, use a hand-held steamer to adjust it to your liking. If you are between sizes we suggest you select the larger one. You can always place a filler beneath the headband to make it slightly tighter.

 Placing a tie tack or post earring or small flag pin through the center of the life ring will help the front panel maintain a taller appearance.
